Fun Weeks: themed weeks in English for children
What are the Fun Weeks?
During the school holidays, families look for activities to keep their children entertained. To meet this need, at Kids&Us, we developed a range of fun-filled activities for these themed weeks in English.
The Fun Weeks are tailored to each age group with games, dancing, drama and crafts. These activities enable participants to practise their English and continue learning the language during the holidays.
What do the Fun Weeks consist of?
Each week, we set sail to a new world through a series of stories specifically created to facilitate and accelerate language acquisition. To achieve this, we carry out the following activities:
Psychomotor activities
Activities designed to involve games that will enable the children to interact with one another.
Storytime
Storytelling sessions with stories created by our educational team, tailored to the age range of the participants and the theme of each week.
Arts&Crafts
Crafts related to the weekly theme (masks, costumes, animal figures... and many more!).
Market
A market that we organise twice a week where the children become shoppers. Where they will need to use the appropriate expressions to ask for the breakfast they want in English.
Songs
Songs created by our educational team that revolve around the theme of the week, designed for singing and dancing!
Staff Performance
Our team takes centre stage; they get dressed up and perform in front of the children, who play the role of fans magnificently.
Basic information about our themed weeks
- Ages: for children ages 3 to 12, including Kids&Us and non-Kids&Us students.
- Groups: maximum 10 students per group and teacher. Separated by age range (3–4, 5–6, and 7–10 or 7–12).
- Calendar: school holiday periods (Halloween, Christmas, winter, Easter, and summer).
- Duration: usually 9:00 to 13:00. Consult the details with each school.
